Dipping into the Blogpond

The community blogger award is for people who reach out and make your blogger community a better one. I’d like to pass on this award to the following people who make frequent contributions, encourage me to be a better blogger, have become friends and as Cellobella says “make my blogger community a better one”…

Today I spotted two kookaburras fighting, surprising because I didn’t think they were all that aggressive. Then they wrestled right off the edge of the roof! Gina managed to capture in on video.

I installed the WordPress 2.3 Upgrade today without too many problems. A few hiccups with plugins though.

It can be argued that having formal policy statements might help build a blogger’s credibility, and set the tone for expected behaviour. So I’ve implemented a; disclosure, comments, privacy, and copyright policy and a disclaimer.

There is a bit of controversy in the blogosphere about Google penalising blogs which provide paid reviews, text links ads and other such link selling….Google – if you are listening, I have NEVER had paid advertising on this site, apart from a few weeks of AdSense. I have NEVER sold a paid review. I have NEVER sold a paid link. I link out a lot. There’s a ton of links from this site. But I have NEVER made a cent from selling these links.
