Online Advertising Up 32 Percent

Online Advertising in Australia has grown 32% when compared to the third quarter last year and amounted to $347 million for the quarter. The Internet Advertising Bureau are predicting total expenditure to reach $1.4 billion by the end of the year, representing annual growth in the vicinity of 39%.

The Party of the (Kindergarten) Year

The pinnacle of the 2007 Kindergarten party season left me somewhat speechless. The event was a spectacular from the invitation to the thank you note, and left me wishing I’d sprung a few extra bucks for a better present…Obviously, you don’t even try and match that.

But my question to you, creative parents, is how would you create a “wow” party, without going over the top on the budget?

Parking Tickets – Conspiracy?

Tonight was the second time my husband has been issued a parking ticket for the same problem. He parked his car, walked up to the automatic parking ticket machine, fed in his money, but no ticket….

What do you do for Christmas?

How much more complicated is Christmas becoming? I think a lot more complicated than it was 20 or 30 years ago, that’s for sure. Think of the number of blended families. Mum and Dad divorced. Mum and Dad remarry. Potentially four sets of Grandparents, or step grandparents.

Pizza Hut vs Dominos – it’s a matter of customer service

The point is, when it comes to customer service, if you stuff up – compensate, and compensate adequately. But if you’re going to stuff up again, and again – don’t make a token gesture, because it’s going to be way too late for a token.

Measuring Blog Success and Formulas for Top Lists

I’m always considering new ways of ranking the Top 100 Australian blogs. I’ve been updating the list for 7 months now, and obviously a fair amount of time goes into maintaining it each fortnight. I’d like the list to have as much integrity, credibility and be as inclusive as possible.
