19th May update to Top 100 Aussie Blogs

Published by at 11:11 pm under Top Australian Blogs, weekly updates

I have updated my Top 100 Aussie Blogs List.

Debuting this month:

Just Creative Design
The Motor Report
Aussie Cynic
Quit your Day Job
iTravelNet.com Travel Blog

There are some nice looking blogs there, so be sure to check them out.

Apologies to Jacob for the oversight of Just Creative Design – which should have been on the list ages ago, but somehow fell through the cracks. Be sure to check out his free logo design competition (open until June 3).

You will notice the absence of subscriber counts from this month’s update – my trusty widget is having some technical difficulties. I was flat out getting the update done this month, and simply did not have the time to manually collect the feed count.

Subscriber count widget

While I did toss around some ideas for tweaking the formula used to calculate my index, I simply haven’t had any spare time to give it proper attention. Lee, it IS on the cards, and I will open it up for discussion in due course…

Lastly, many thanks to Plugger.com.au for their sponsorship which comes to an end this month.

    Hi Meg,

No worries as we like to say :) Thanks for the link out too. I was surprised to see I was #12, even above Freelance Switch which has literally 10x as many subscribers as me. Oh well, I won’t complain. Thanks!

    Thx for the update

    I’m up 9 spots from 35 to 26th, but who’s counting :-)

Looks like the Alexa update is still feeding through as lots of techy sites have lost rank and several more mainstream sites including mine have risen

I fully expected to have gone down this month as I have not had as much time to concentrate on my blog as I would have liked but have actually gone up by 5. I wonder if others who were affected by the Alexa changes, and went down last time, have noticed the same?

    Lol @Lee’s comment 😛

(I suppose I can see the funny side to that whole argument, as… well… I’m not on the list) 😉

Man, Swollen Pickles has taken a hit. Like all fads, the pickles looks like its getting packed away in the bottom of the closet, hoping that one day people will want it again.

Hello Meg, Eli here, I think we may have crossed paths before.

I was wondering if my website, PhotoshopStar qualifies, as it is Australian made and owned! :)

    Thanks

Hi, Meg, really nice to know the top 100 Australian blogs list. I feel curious a bit about the standard. How did you evaluate those blogs and rank them?

  16. Megon 27 May 2008 at 11:12 am
