Christmas Card Link Love

Published by at 9:53 pm under random

My blog has been decked out in Christmas cheer, I guess the blogging equivalent of putting up the tree :)

So following in Sue’s footsteps, I thought it timely to do a Christmas Card / Link Love post to show my appreciation for those that have made this little community a better place.

Blogpond Christmas

Please note this is not a Meme, just a special Christmas shout and (at the risk of stating the bleeding obvious) I’m not proficient in the art of graphic design – but hey, it’s the thought that counts right?

Not being one to overly celebrate Christmas, except we have children, including a 7 year old who swears that Santa Claus is real and has an unrealistic expectation of the capitalistic side of Christmas. I was touched by how much interest he showed in a fantastic nativity scene that our Philippino friends had put together. We don’t push it down their throats, but we don’t deny that it is real for many people.

On another related matter, I saw this on an American Blog.

    On Rudolph
    On Prancer
    On Visa
    On Mastercard

Kind of sums up Christmas for many these days. I am still gobsmacked at how much my wife has spent on presents for the rellies this year.

    Have a nice Holiday Season.

Colin – well, glad to hear that your son is at least interested in the Christmas story. I like that quote :) It’s a shame it’s so commercialised – I tend to not go too overboard.

Alyndabear – you might need to get creative! Maybe the kids could draw you in an Elf costume!

    Cerebralmum – you’re most welcome to :)

To everybody else, thanks for your thanks 😉 , comments and wishes 😀
