Reminder: Anybody who would like to add (or update) the Aussie blogs from Bumpzee to their blogroll can find an A to Z list and a downunder version (Z to A). Snoskred keeps these updated weekly.

We now have 124 members, 149 blogs, 8161 entries and some really great discussion. Is your blog there?

3. Aussie Blog Post of the Week

James Breeze from UsableWorld has written a post called Aerobics for your Mind. He begins:

Blogging is an amazing tool for learning, introspection and knowledge creation.
Here are some things that I have discovered about the act of blogging…

4. Spotlight on an Aussie Blogs Community Blog (Bumpzee)

Kin’s blog, Home of Slightly Cracked Dreams is only a couple of months old and she’s just notched up 50 posts, and bagged two blogger nominated awards in the process. Kin describes herself as

A highly disorganised wife, mother and law student, juggling the demands of a spouse, 2 and a bit children and a degree.

Kin typically writes about her studies, finances (budgeting), homemaking and family. I’m sure she’d love it if you stopped by and said “hi”.

5. Other News

I’ve been busy this week redesigning dLook’s old news blog. I’ve moved it from WordPress.com to the dLook domain. We’ve decided to use it to highlight our monthly discount coupons (as well as our news & tips).

I chose the Cutline Theme by Chris Pearson. I must have learned a thing or two about moving a blog and tweaking, as it was relatively painless!

6. From the Aussosphere

Bryce from a Strangled Duck has set up a blogging forum called Blogging Cafe. Well done Bryce, and best wishes for its success!

Problogger picks – Why does my Feedburner Subscriber Count Fluctuate (I could never work that one out) and Dig into your Blog Statistics.

Coach has a audio file with a guy called Jerry impersonating different celebrities (Tina Turner, Midnight Oil) singing baa baa black sheep. This guy’s talent is amazing and worth a listen if you have a couple of spare minutes.

Sorry, got waaay too busy having a day off and possibly finding a new place to live.. 😉

The update to the blogs list has now been completed. Yay!

Your color scheme on dlook is very pretty 😉

One thing I don’t know or get about wordpress yet – if you have to update the basic wordpress on your server, what happens to all your plugins and templates etc? Do they all vanish and you have to reinstall them?

I have been playing with it a little.. it is easier than I thought it would be. :)

    Hi Snos

    Thanks!

“…what happens to all your plugins and templates etc? Do they all vanish and you have to reinstall them?”

No. To the best of my knowledge, you deactivate the plugins, do the update and then re-activate them.
