Billy Thorpe Dies Aged 60

Published by at 9:50 am under Billy Thorpe, death, obits

Sad news today that rocker Billy (“Thorpie”) Thorpe has died in Sydney from a heart attack at the age of 60.

I remember reading his books about ten years ago – from memory “Most People I Know” and “Sex, Thugs and Rock and Roll”, and found them most entertaining.

We’re in the process of creating a tribute page on Obits, to display messages of condolence for Billy. This is sure to be popular as it was with Belinda Emmett (we received nearly 1,000 tributes).

Messages can be left via Billy’s notice.

Yeah, I just heard the news too, that Billy Thorpe (Most People I Know Think That I’m Crazy) has died of a massive heart attack.

Billy was one of the great Australian Rockers. We all will miss him sadly.

Let’s not forget Billy. He’s a great inspiration to the younger rockers… the newer rock bands just wouldn’t be the same without influenc from the older greats like him.

Farewell Billy, you will always be remembered as the legend you were.
