Fancy a Trip to Melbourne?

Published by at 7:11 pm under random

A couple of days ANYWHERE sounds good to me at the moment. I received one of those promo things in the mail a few weeks ago and it’s been sitting on my desk reminding taunting me about how much I want a holiday. Why I tease myself like this I don’t know…

Anywhere!

Anyway, my ideal weekend would NOT involve going to the AFL – sorry to say it’s a sport that I’ve never been able to get into. Each to his own I guess.

BUT I could definitely handle 2 nights at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne (including breakfast and dinner for two), return flights, car hire, $1,000 spending money….

Heck, I could even be tempted to shop (yeah, well I might be getting carried away in the daydream there, but IF I was going to shop – I hear Melbourne is the place to do it).

So, how could I go about winning all that? Expedia are running a cool competition to win the above stuff (and AFL Grand Final tickets and tickets to some AFL breakfast – meh).

Entry seems relatively pain free – answer a few simple questions. The first one had me stumped though. What anniversary is AFL celebrating this year? Then I saw the choices – 5, 150th, 500 – no brainer, even for someone who doesn’t follow the AFL. You also have to submit up your contact details and opt in to receiving emails from Expedia.

Disclaimer: this is an unpaid announcement because I think it is a cool prize, though co-incidentally Expedia are premium advertisers on dLook.

Hey babe – my first thought was of you, but I know you are kinda “out of town”.

I have no doubt that no one could show me how to shop like you 😀 You might even find me a pair of shoes to replace my 3.5 year old “new” pair 😮

Sigh. How much does it suck that, as bloggers, we are now “forced” to add disclaimers like that? :(
