Trial by Social Media – 2clix

Imagine with me, just for a second, that there’s any weight in 2Clix’s suggestion that the negative comments placed on the Whirlpool forum thread were in fact made by (unnamed) competitors of 2Clix. It’s not beyond the realms of possibility….But instead of your “day in court” you are tried and convicted by the jury that is social media.

2Clix Sues Whirlpool and Rebrands its Product?

2Clix is seeking damages for injurious falsehoods in the amount of $150,000 and claims losses of $150,000 per month in sales for the period January to July of this year. Furthermore they are asking for the two forum threads to be deleted from the forums.
