About Me
Hi There!
Thanks for clicking on this page to find out a little more about me, and this website.
I’m a blogger, and this is an Australian blog. If you’re not entirely sure what I mean by that, please see What is a Blog?, for a little more clarification. I started this blog at WordPress.com back in January 2007, and moved to blogpond.com.au in May ‘07. Here is a list of my favourite articles.
I am interested in the Australian internet community, websites, startups, web 2.0, blogging, small business and social media. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and am also interested in psychology, medicine, education, adhd and giftedness.
More than likely what you won’t read about here is religion, economics, politics, shopping, cooking, fashion, make-up or pets - as I have little desire to write about these topics.
I run two Australian websites - dLook (an online business directory) and Obits (which lists funeral notices and a directory of funeral industry businesses). This is termed an “internet startup” and I now know this involves putting just about everything you own on the line, biting off more than you can chew, and chewing like crazy (and trying not to choke in the process)!
I’m “thirty-something” 40, and a mother of 4 children, aged 4 5 to 16 17. I Live in the Sutherland Shire (colloquially known as “God’s Country” to its residents) about 30 minutes South of Sydney.
I have a Bachelor of Commerce (Management & Information Systems) and a Graduate Diploma in Education. I have been self employed for 7 years.

Hi and thanks for your comments on the Cyberdesign Works blog about our recent website duplication “issue”.
Yes it has been a real headache for us and our client and we are actively trying to get the issue resolved.
Thanks again for your post and I will definatly be adding your blog to my daily reading.
Cheers!
Hi Luke
Many thanks for dropping by - does that mean I have to post daily? Oh the pressure
I still find the whole duplication issue just outrageous & shall be on the look out for a follow up.
Hi,
Nice to meet you.
I feel happy to see your cool & active blog site.
Keep it up…
Dear Meg!
You know that was so kindly reading your sentences of blog. I can’t englih so much but I - was thinking - understand of all. Congratulaitons You and thanks for the visit.
Hi Gabor
Many thanks for saying hello, and your kind words
Hello Meg
Thanks for blogrolling me. I will reciprocate.
Your top 100 Aussie Blogs is interesting.
Good luck with developing your business. I am happy that I don’t have to look to my blog for my paycheck. I think that would be a big barrier for me. I would find the pressure to perform, too much. Horses for courses and I am glad to be leaving that puzzle to my current employer, who generally gets good value for money.
Hi Colin
Please don’t feel obliged to reciprocate! That’s not why you were added!
I don’t blog for a living either (because I don’t make money from this blog). I dare say I’d be starving by now
Of course, there is some subtle advertising for my business….
Hi Meg
Just to say Hi and thanks for sharing little tidbits and info.
Cheers
Jas

Hey Bruce
Doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy reading about those things. I enjoy your blog (yes, even the posts about women only parking lots)!
P.S. I’ve got you on the list to check each week…
Love your entrepreneurial spirit and insights. I look forward to collaborating with you.
Andy
Hi Meg, stumbled across your top Aussie blogs listing - and discovered that I wasn’t on the list. Sadness. Sigh. I’ve got a technorati ranking that fits into your list pretty well (41345 today) - so maybe I can be added to you compilation in the future?? Here’s hoping. Cheers, Judy
Hi Judy
I responded to you via email from your blog.
