Reminder: Anybody who would like to add (or update) the Aussie blogs from Bumpzee to their blogroll can find an A to Z list and a downunder version (Z to A). Snoskred keeps these updated weekly.
We now have 206 members and 236 blogs. Is your blog there?
3. For a Laugh
Spotted at Adelaide Green Porridge Cafe – Men of Discerning Taste. This certainly had me laughing. It’s a short video showing what happens when you give a “poofter drink” to a bunch of “salt of the earth” types (heh – I’m being PC).
Now if you really want to freak your kids out this Christmas, get them to fill in a Santa’s Visit Application – hehe. Available at Magneto Bold Too – Even Santa is a Bureaucrat.
4. Blog Post of the Week
I particularly enjoyed this post from Craig Harper “Muffin Top Pioneer“.
He concludes with this lovely sentiment:
Everyday you and I have the opportunity to notice the un-noticed, love the un-loved, hug the un-hugged and to encourage and support those who are emotionally starving in a sea of humanity. We have the opportunity to make an incredible difference with a few simple words and a few minutes of our time.
5. Other News
Laurel had an interesting post about Web 2.0 consultants being taken advantage of.
I’m noticing a disturbing trend of large well known companies who invite passionate Web 2.0 evangelists, or knowledgeable bloggers or bumbling social network strategists (me) to “meetings” to discuss “potential” working arrangements.

Blogging in the mainstream media. Anthony linked to an SMH article in “It wasn’t Hype, Just Excitement” saying:
While the exciting concepts of organised citizen journalism initiatives and problogging that Roggeveen mentions as evidence of blogging’s failure are both still growing in Australia. I think these are a poor basis to judge blogging’s success.

Leigh at All For Women has announced a new section in her forums specifically for Women bloggers.

This fortnight’s Carnival of Australia is being hosted by Patric at Mad Goat Lady. The next carnival is being held at Adelaide Green Porridge Cafe so get your submissions in for Colin by Monday.

Just a short one this fortnight!
