BlogRush is Everywhere

Published by at 2:07 pm under blogging

BlogRush is the Latest Buzz taking over the blogosphere, just in case you hadn’t heard ๐Ÿ˜‰

The concept behind BlogRush is pretty simple. Sign up and place a widget on your sidebar, which displays recent posts from other blogs in your nominated category.

The idea is that your posts will then get displayed on widgets on other blogs. The amount of times your posts get shown on other blogs depends on the amount of traffic your blog gets, and the amount of other bloggers you refer. Yes, it’s a bit like a pyramid scheme – that goes up to 10 levels deep.

The links that are displayed are designed to be contextual (you can filter out terms and URLs so that you’re not sending traffic away unnecessarily) and links open up a new window.

There’s a well done video presentation that outlines the process, and comprehensive help.

I’m not sure how it will all pan out, in terms of traffic. It takes a couple of days for stats to come through. But nothing ventured, nothing gained.

So if you’re thinking about getting on board, feel free to use this link to sign up.

(Note: It probably goes without saying, but if you use any of these links to sign up, I will more than likely benefit from traffic on your site, as will the person who referred me รขโ‚ฌโ€œ Andy Beard.)

    Hehe ๐Ÿ˜€

From my last update (it’s in the fine print – point 4)

“I have decided to drop back to fortnightly updates for the Top Aussie Blogs index. The list has pretty much stabilised for new entrants, and apart from minor shuffling is relatively static.”

I’m in the BlogRush club too – couldn’t wait to get that widget up there :)

Speaking of addictive – an unkind but well-intentioned person sent me the link to getsatisfaction.com – where you get to bag out and ask questions of the companies that drive you to distraction – not a lot of Aussie content there (yet) but it is growing like a weed. Like I had time for one more social networking application :)

    Cheers, Andrew

    Hi Andrew

It’s extremely clever marketing – no one wants to miss the boat. They’ve created a real sense of urgency.

I know what you mean about another application… Speaking of which are you on Stumbleupon yet?

I have the blogrush widget on my blogsite and its traffic coming from it is considerable good.

I added it two days ago, and it gives me more unique viewer just like signing up for google adword. I love it because its free. And it really works!

BlogRush appears to be a giant stuffed turkey…

Am I alone in thinking that BlogRush is a giant stuffed turkey? As of writing this I have past the 10,000 impressions mark, and received a grand total of 2 clicks. From what I’ve picked up from various forums, my experience with BlogRush is not u…

I recently developed a free wordpress plugin called “BlogRush Click Maximizer”. By using it you can vastly improve your Click Through Rate.

This allows you to control what you want to display in BlogRush. You can even write alternate – short and catchy title just for BlogRush.

You will have total control of what appears over the BlogRush Network.
