What’s that Lovely Perfume?
Little Miss Four (NT) cracks me up!
She has a very well developed sense of humour, a variety of animated facial expressions (the rolly eyes, the “eyes half shut, I’m not buying your crap” expression, the “yes I’m lying, but giving it my best shot” expression….) as well as verbal responses “Hell-low! can someone please dress me, I’m freezing here”.
Of course, being four, we are also subjected to our share of toilet humour 😉 Once she gets past that stage, I’m sure she’ll entertain us for hours. Even JT (6) says “Ah! NT cracks me up”.
She is also acutely sensitive to smells. For instance, walking into the kitchen shortly after I de-bagged a bbq chook, NT announced “Pea-yoo! Who farted? Someone crack open a window!”.
Then last night. Half an hour after someone applied Dencorub in the Kitchen, NT wanders into the kitchen, “Ah! What’s that lovely perfume?”. Oh, help! A future footballer’s wife. I did say “acutely sensitive”, not discerning – right?
Are your kids attracted to any “unusual” fragrances?

A special howdy to my sister living in Hong Kong, who I just discovered actually reads my blog (I suspect my mother tipped her off). She has requested a photo of Miss 14 decked out in her fairy costume, as it was her ball gown
Sis – don’t be shy in commenting 😉

Can´t say my Miss 4 is attuned to any particular smells, although she has gotten pretty good at sniffing out a dirty nappy on her baby sister. ” Mum, I think Chiq did something bad…” I definitely recognise some of those facial expressions too, plus there´s the “I did something wrong, but I´m trying not to show it” expression…

I am the one here with the acute sense of smell. Drives me bananas! Right now I can smell urine, coffee, feet and deodorant. Makes me want to walk around like Michael Jackson with a face mask all the time.
Oh and dangle Boo from his cubby house window….. But that has nothing to do with smells, just an urge.
BTW Meg, in the ‘Autism community’ NT stands for Neurologically Typical, ie: not on the Autism Spectrum!
Kelley’s last blog post..I’m having a sleepover!
My lil sis is not a big fan of the floral smells. And she loves hte small of fuel, kerosene, anything flammable I think.
