Carnival of Australia
Leigh at All for Women is hosting this fortnight’s Carnival of Australia. Megan Bayliss from Imaginif maintains the carnival.
The Carnival of Australia is described as
A place to celebrate the diversity of thought and opinion of Aussie bloggers and bloggers who blog on Australia. All topics are welcome from Aussies living here or overseas and from visitors to our diverse country.
Submission guidelines are:
NO adult content, or abusive and racist comments. One submission per site please. If you keep two or three sites, you can submit one article from each.
What exactly is a blog carnival? Well, it’s a collection of blog posts centred around a theme (in this case Australia). Bloggers can submit a post relevant to the theme, which provides a good opportunity to get exposure within a wider audience. Bloggers volunteer to host the carnivals (though it’s not a requirement for submission).
I’m hosting the next Carnival on 29th August (this is my first time as a carnival host), and submissions close at 5.00 pm (Sydney time) on Monday 27th August. Hope to see you there here!
Don’t forget to check out this fortnight’s Carnival of Australia.

Thanks Meg. A true blue Aussie Carnival is only as Aussie as the people who submit. American bloggers are so into Carnivals, they really do steal the Carnival airways. C’mon Aussie – get some Vegemite into you and show them that we Aussie bloggers have well and truly arrived.
And…Cockatoo eating Milk Arrowroot (made by Arnots)…I wonder if someone’s done a blog on the story of how SAO’s got their name. It is a very interesting and historical story of Australian note.
I look forward to you receiving a record number of submissions next fortnight Meg.
Hi Megan
Well said! Cockatoo eating Milk Arrowroot – I thought that was pretty Aussie! The SAO story could make a good carnival submission.
I’ll be happy to have the submissions (ooh, a challenge – what’s the record?)
