I made $21,730.67 this month!

Woohoo! Three months of blogging today!

By the way, I *think* that there might be a few stray subscribers out there.

By the way, this blog didn’t make $21,730.67 this month (d’oh) – I don’t run paid advertising. But since the blogosphere is declaring their earnings, thought I should get in on the act. Whilst I might have earned that revenue, it was NOT from this blog!

PLEASE feel free to leave a comment (you can remain anonymous) and let me know what you’d like to hear more (or less) about. It’d be great to hear from you :) – I’m convinced you are “out there”.

    Anyway, just thought I’d drop you a quick comment to let you know I’m enjoying reading your blog. I’m sure you’ll be pulling in $20K/month from it in no time :)

    In the meantime, I notice you went to STIRR and are also interested in the whole Cameron Reilly Keiretsu thing.

    I don’t know if you’ve heard about the Open Coffee Club, but its something that Saul Klein kicked off successfully in London and is now branching out across the world. The idea is to get people in the startup industry of a particular city together regularly (i.e. same place/time every week) and informally (i.e. no name tags, no invitations, no signups, just come if you want).

    We’re trying to kick one off in Sydney. The aim being that we have all he ingredients to create a great startup industry here but everyone is too fragmented. The more we get to know everyone else involved in the industry, the more collaboration/competition will happen and the better the products/services will be that come out of Sydney. (think of Porter’s Competitive Advantage of Nations)

    Do you think you could help out by putting up a post and getting word of mouth happening by contacting everyone you know from around Sydney who might be interested in attending?

    I’ve got a few other people doing the same thing, so hopefully we can make something happen soon.

    That Technorati thing that coverts your blog into cash value–yeah sure–says mine increased in value about that much this month–now if I could only sell the stupid thing:)

    Lovely. It is my view that all bloggers should have advertisements on their sites. Adsense affiliate who cares but they should be there. Make a few bucks to pay for our efforts, or reward our efforts might be a better word. If all bloggers had adsense, read a site and then moved on from it why not click an adsense ad to to it or an affiliate ad. The idea is advertising, we are consumers, let us click and see what there to read. My site is with my name TerryG. I might get a few cents a click but it pays for the hosting. If all bloggers became clickers we would see $21K per month. Lets go!!!!!

    If that is profit that is about $21k more than most “web 2.0” startups and I am highly impressed. You have some great ideas for niches, and seem to be working with a good team.

    I suppose I should clarify here 😉

    What I reported was income, and sadly NOT profit :( . There were two websites involved, as well as residual income from a life before the internet (which helps to support development and ongoing costs of the websites).

    In terms of statistics, the sites generated over 2.7 million page views for the month.

    You are “down under” not “going under” 😉

    Did you notice how John Chow only revealed income for the first few months, and not a profit / loss – I am sure the first few months he was much closer to just breaking even.

    Here’s another adage “never let the truth get in the way of a good blog post” (though apart from the somewhat sensationalist heading here, I don’t really subscribe to that one)
