Blogosphere Lethargy
Is it just me or is it pretty quiet on the blogosphere today? It probably has a lot to do with the U.S. being in turkey mode and Black Friday, and Aussies caught up with election stuff (you did remember, right?). No doubt the cogs will get back into gear shortly.
Having caught the lethargy myself (yet having made it thus far for NaBloMoPo), I present to you a few videos for your amusement / entertainment.
1. It’s quite amazing what you can do with a hammer (apart from hit the occasional digit)
2. I am so not co-ordinated – this guy is (caution – bare bottom alert)
3. Dan Lyons aka “Fake Steve Jobs“. Dan addressed a Google gathering and shared his insights on his rise to blogging fame. He’s one of the most engaging speakers and extremely witty – I watched all 51 minutes of this, fascinated (thanks Liz).

It is VERY quiet today.
Here’s hoping everyone is enjoying themselves, whatever it is they’re doing!
Well, my blog seems to have been quieter than usual for a few days now….I just thought perhaps everyone was sick of reading what I had to say. *sob*
I feel like I cheated today by putting up my favourite recipe for choc chip muffins. I didn’t even take a photo of my efforts. Talk about slack!!! LOL. But I can’t have something interesting to say every day can I?
cheater. Seems everyone is cheating today.
Including me.
But I have other reasons for my cheating than lethargy 😉
I really should have done NaBloMoPo this year. I have no trouble churning out at least one blog post every day
Hi Meg!
I watched the whole thing too. My husband kept asking what I was laughing about. Every time I see Dan’s face on this video. I know. I will watch it again. In fact, I’m going to download it now.
alyndabear – seems to be a trend for Saturdays for the last month – it seems some people actually do have a life! Good luck to them.
Lightening – I don’t think it’s anything you’ve said or not said 😉 I totally agree – especially during NaBloPoMo 😉
Kelley – LOL – normally if I don’t have anything to say, then I won’t…. But I haven’t cheated too much so will sleep with a clear conscience. Hope you had a nice night – there was wine flowing here too 😉
Greg – surprised you didn’t!
Liz – that’s for linking to it – cut through I guess, I really don’t consume that many videos & had seen in mentioned on PB, but your recommendation made me watch 😀 .
I laughed out loud too. When it was finished I tried to convey it to my husband, but he was engrossed in a documentary about the Ferrari factory, so it kind of fell on deaf ears 😉
Being someone who is scared “witless” at the thought of public speaking I have to take my hat off to Dan, who is so naturally funny, bright and interesting. I loved the little digs he had – especially about Adsense and the $17 he made one day with 500,000 visitors – LOL.
I reckon I’ll be going back to watch again too.
Meg, thanks for the link. I think Americans have had their tryptophan fix (I’ll let everyone look that up) and are either at the malls or watching college football. I tried to get some stuff done on Friday and I just wasn’t in the mood!
Best wishes with the upcoming Aussie elections.
hmmm, yes. It was quiet yesterday.
I think our American bloggers must have been crushed in the shopping rush. I can say that now that I know what Balck Friday IS! LOL, I must have been living in a hole for the last 30 something years.
Matt – LOL I looked it up. That’s why Twitter had a message about tryptophan coma. Still learning… Election all over & we have a new PM – Kevin Rudd.
Tiff – if it makes you feel any better I didn’t know until I read Matt’s article either. Then again, those abroad probably don’t know about our Boxing Day sales either!
I didn’t think I’d have time to watch that last one the whole way through but funnily enough I just started and ended up making the time. I really enjoyed his style and content. What an amazing story he has!
Lightening – I’m glad you enjoyed it 😀 I was exactly the same (didn’t think I’d have time), but found it riveting.
