Answering Questions
I know I’ve mentioned 103bees before – it’s a tracking program that records the search terms that people use to get to your site. For this purpose I find it really user friendly, not that it would ever replace Google Analytics, but a nice supplement.
Gee there are some amazing things that people type into search engines, as I’m sure you’d know. I read some of your weekly / monthly updates which include them. Well, I thought I’d take this opportunity to answer some of the questions that have brought people to this site lately.
how do you pick a name for a turtle
I don’t know, but I shell think about it…

Well according to Stephen, it’s emunctory.

Hmm I’d suggest play-doh or silicone.

how to get an adult woman to fall in love with a 14 yeaar old boy
Best of luck dude! At 14 I suggest it would help if she’s your mother.
why do men perve
Probably because they can. A bit like why do dogs… um, chase cars.
i’m a 40 year old mom – what should i wear to a nightclub?
what should a 14 year old wear to a nightclub?
Hmm I sense a theme. For the 40 year old, it really depends if you’re single or married. For the 14 year old – nothing, I mean – you are too young to be going to a nightclub. OK?
how to find megs on google
Well, you found this one.
who was voted out of australian idle
That’s “IDOL”. Check out my Australian Idol category for all the latest news (don’t worry people, not long to go).

Well, I’m sure all kids experiment. But if symptoms persist, you might want to think about some professional help.
how to make an add
I think you mean “ad” as in short for “advertisement”. It would probably help if you are the creative type – and good spelling might come in handy.
sole trader how much do you say you earn?
I’d start with the truth. I hear an ATO audit is not pleasant.
what is the url of the australian mars society?
This is a case of being a tad too over specific. If you just typed in “Australian Mars Society“, you would have got the right answer.
what is the time on 29th in australia
Try Time and Date (except given this came in on 27th October, we’re not that far ahead).
how to speak i can haz cheezburger
Boy those lolcats are on to something – even their own language! I suggest this only really works in writing – it loses its effect aurally. Here are a few hints:
is = iz (in fact, replace most instances of “s” with “z”)
because = cuz
words ending in y = replace with “eh” as in “kitteh”
be = b
there = ther
the = teh
your = ur
you = u
OK Thanks Bye = kthxbai
Just so you can see that I’m in the spirit of the occasion, here’s one I created.

So, speaking of questions, do any of you have any blogging related ones? You know:-
“I really don’t understand….”
“How do I…”
Remember there’s no such thing as a silly question – if it’s basic enough, I might be able to answer it (please – I need blog fodder) 😉

Silly question for Meg: Are the 103bees search terms different from the Google analytics ones?
I tried, it was the best I could come up with?
Joh,
Not a silly question at all – and thanks for asking Truth be told, they probably are the same.
But what I like about 103bees, is that it’s “live” (in that you don’t have to wait until 7.00 pm to get access to today’s stats), and that it’s really neatly sorted into categories like “latest search hits” “top search terms” and “latest questions” etc. With Analytics you have to wade through a lot of data to get the same feedback.
*hehe* a great bunch you have there. Some of mine are probably not appropriate to share in public :hehe:
I think one of the top ones is do women wear underpants under their pyjamas *blink*
I used to love 103bees but I with the forums I had to choose it or analytics, running both was slowing things down.
I don’t have a question tho, I think I have picked your brain enough lately LOL.
Hi Leigh
I know what you mean – this is the censored list 😉
Does LOL stand for ‘lots of love’?
Hi Nanny
“LOL” stands for Laugh out Loud, which is often used on blogs, or other internet conversations, to indicate that a person has found (what another person has said) funny.
Other common abbreviations are:
“ROFL” Rolling on the Floor Laughing and similarly
“LMAO” Laughing My Arse Off, which are used when something is REALLY funny
“BTW“, which means By The Way
“IMO” and “IMHO” are used for In My (Honest) Opinion
“WTF” stands for What The F*#% and is used when something doesn’t really make sense to the author (like strange logic)
“BRB” (usually used in instant messaging) is Be Right Back, if someone has to leave the conversation briefly
That’s some of the more commonly used ones that I can think of off the top of my head.
Thanks for a great question!
Thanks for taking the time to educate me.
It’s like a new language for a 73 year old ! LOL
LOL 😀
Glad I could help!
