What’s this?

JT Drawing

If you guessed chair – bingo! Thanks for thinking like a 5 year old πŸ˜‰

JT Full Drawing

Note: the item to the left of the chair is a pair of scissors, and yes I’m pragmatic enough to know we don’t have a future Archibald prize winner here.

Since I’m doing a “mummy” post. I thought I’d share a few gems I’ve been saving.

D1: It says they’re made in China.
D2: Made in China?
D1: Yes everything’s made in China.
D2: Even us?

~~~~~~~~~~~~
I wish I was twins, then I’d have 2 birthdays.(miss 4)
You register at www.com.au (miss 5)
Mum. Have you heard of 2.0? (miss 5)
(can you tell we’re a family startup)
~~~~~~~~~~~~

Miss 5: Mum, I handled a whole situation by myself.
Me: Oh, and what was the situation?
Miss 5: Well, my computer froze and I managed to restart it all by myself.
Me: That’s great darling!
Miss 5: Yes and I’ll let you know if another situation arises

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dad, (miss 5) said infinity is a number and I told her it’s not. Can you tell her it’s not a number. (miss 4)
Fun times.
    While we’re having a quotethingy, here’s one from my four year old cousin:
    To my sister:
    Stop eating so much! You’re going to be fat like nanny
    That is too cute. I must admit, I was thinking dirty! It’s a lovely chair … very detailed. :)
    Oh and while I don’t have any kiddie quotes, I do have a boyfriend quote! I’d just got him a skipping rope and he was practicing, and he came into the room to give me a progress update. I asked him if he was jumping or stepping, and he just sort of looked at me, and said in a serious tone, “Boys don’t step.”
    LOL!
    (Sorry about the two comments … I thought of this just after I posted!)
    I thought it was a cartoon character called The New Schmoo. It was my favourite cartoon when I was little. Schmoo could turn into all kinds of different things. I think he was somehow affiliated with Scooby Doo, but I can’t be sure.
    I love the quotes. Kids are so much fun at 4 and 5! πŸ˜‰
    Too cute!!
    My latest Mummy quote comes from my nearly 4 year old. Apparently my road safety message is getting through.
    (while asleep this morning) “DON’T RUN ON THE ROAD!!!”
    lol….I’ve been a sexual assault therapist for way tooooooo long!
    I think her drawings are darling and she may just win a prize. Look at the subtextual discussions she’s created amongst us on the web!
    We have kept a book of great quotes for our kids. It is now full. They are so memorable at the time. Make sure you keep a record. You will appreciate it later.
    Thanks for your comments & quotes πŸ˜€
    Neerav – you’re still thinking like a 5 year old πŸ˜‰
    Colin – very wise words. I’ve forgotten so many of them…
    My Lil’ Miss (5 y.o) having a serious chat with her Grandma last weekend…
    Miss: Where’s my Great GrandMa?
    Grandma: She’s in heaven with the Angels.
    Miss: But Angels have wings, why can’t she visit us?
    Grandma: But she’s an old Angel, with broken wings.
    Miss: But if her wings are broken shouldn’t she fall down from the sky?
    @ Leigh – yes the full beauty treatment – she doesn’t get it from me though πŸ˜‰
    @ Martin – that’s so precious, thanks for recounting it.
