Interview on 2UE

Published by at 9:59 pm under raveaboutit, reviews

I suppose one of the more rewarding things about developing a product like dLook is when the website is recognised by media professionals with a certain amount of acclaim.

Our first foray into the public relations arena was a year ago when Sydney radio personality Alan Jones interviewed Theo on air on radio 2GB. Then came an interview with the podcaster of podcasters, Cameron Reilly of The Podcast Network.

Last week we were pleasantly surprised to receive a phone call from the top rating Sydney radio show on 2UE hosted by John Stanley. He had read our news release about the introduction of local business reviews to dLook (powered by Rave About It) and had immediately taken an interest.

Without wanting to form a mutual admiration society, I have to commend John Stanley on the interest he takes in the Australian web scene and his commitment to keeping his many listeners as up to date as possible on the quickly changing landscape of our Australian online community.

I was volunteered to do the live interview and despite my opinion of how well I “didn’t” perform, here it is (excuse the “ums”, and I’m sure I don’t really sound like this)!

    Great interview Meg.
I’ve listened to John’s show for years now and you’re right, he does support the Aussie web scene. He’s also a fellow St George supporter which proves how resilient he is.

Wow, that is great! You must of been really stoked!

I remember when I was interviewed by the ABC in WA, really boosts your self esteem and lets you know you are on the right track and doing a great job 😀

    Hi Matt

Yes it was good! But I was probably too busy being nervous to be stoked 😉
