Web Directions South

I got an email today from John Allsopp about the upcoming Web Directions South Conference which is being held in Sydney on 25-29th September, 2007. There are 2 days of workshops, 2 conference days and a WebHack day, and a web expo.

There’s a well known line up of speakers from Australia and around the world. Early bird pricing is available until 30/6 at $795 for the conference (workshops additional $395 with a conference ticket or $495 without).

A Couple of New Aussie Blogs you might like..

Personal Blog Income

Greg writes:

Personal Blog Income is designed to fill the relative void of how a personal blogger can make money blogging. You may never be able to quit your day job but there is no reason that you can’t make your blogging a part time job. Most months i make in excess of a thousand dollars from on my personal blogs and that figure is only rising every month.

This blog is intended as an extension of my blogging and will show personal bloggers like myself how to make money. Its never going to cost you and how much you decide to do is up to you.

Small Office Australia

Martin writes:

I know that there are many Aussie bloggers blogging about business and their own businesses but they generally do it for an American audience. Fair enough cause that’s where the dough is. Well my mission is to try and change that.

For your see, in a business sense, we’re a conservative lot. We’re not really known for our early adoptness, we generally come late on the scene after we’ve been sold on it – and as a collective we generally hate the hard sell and tend to take our time….

….Well I wanted to do something 100% Australian but not be all over the place. I had to have focus. My focus is on the small office. The smallest of small business … the business owner that works from their small office and is happy to do so. They don’t want to grow into a SME, they’re more than happy where they are.

You might like to pop by and say “g’day”.
