What is RedBubble?

Have you heard about Red Bubble, an Australian Startup?

RedBubble

What is RedBubble? Essentially it’s a site that allows aspiring Australian artists and photographers to display their work for sale. RedBubble will organise prints to be made of the selected artwork for a set fee. The artist gets to set a price above what RedBubble will charge, which they get to keep.

The site is currently in “preview mode” (aka “beta”) and was released in February with coverage from Mashable and iTWire and there’s also a short Youtube video about the concept.

Peter Styles is the RedBubble “bus driver”.

Here’s a couple of samples of the fabulous art work available for purchase:

I think this site is a terrific boost for the Australian Art community.
