Calling Australian Bloggers – Free Links worth $48,800

You probably know by now that I support Australian blogs and content. I also mentioned (once or twice!) that I run dLook.com.au, an Australian online business directory.

So, being Australia Day, and following on in the tradition of Tino Buntic and his 2,000 blogger initiative (haven’t got that link yet, Tino…) and being a proud Aussie, here goes…..

Given the rising popularity of blogging, I have created a dLook category for “blogs”, which will shortly have a link from our home page. I am offering the “best” 100 bloggers with Australian content a premium listing valued at $488 on the dLook site AT NO COST. We have assembled a 4 person panel made up of dLook staff to select the blogs.

Bear in mind that dLook is attracting over 300,000 visitors per month and growing. So, what do you have to lose?

Simply include your blog url in the comments section of this blog (and all Australian blogs submitted will stay as a link from this post, unless your blog is purely spammy and then Akismet will take care of you) and a short (25 words or less) description of your main subject matter (or major tags, if you like) and when you established your blog.

This promotion is limited to 100 blogs and strictly one blog url per person. And before anyone screams “copy cat” I have been working on an “Australian Blog” page for this blog and the dLook category before I’d even heard of Tino Buntic…

    Hey Meg,

Thanks for the opportunity to submit my blog.

My blog is best described as follows:

If you’re genuinely ready to change, and you want to move from mediocre to amazing, then pull up a seat, have an open mind, be prepared to get uncomfortable and start learning and doing.

Oops – I think Akismet is being too proactive – If you recently added a link could you please re-sumbit it?

    Hi there.

I would love to put my blog up for consideration….how’s this I am an Aussie mum of two teenagers, defacto (I am not his mum but sometimes….) I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2000 and on December 25th 2006 started a website to raise $1 Million for Multiple Sclerosis research.

A week after launch I succumbed to another MS relapse and so am desperately looking for exposure because I can’t follow up with my grand plans at the moment :/

My blog covers my life, the fundraising progress, MS stuff, reviews and otehr stuff.

Any other information you need please do not hesitate to contact me

    Thanks

    Hi Meg,

God idea and I would love to be involved in promoting Aussie blogs.

    Blog: Carpark
    URL: http://www.accure.com.au/carpaprk

    Whats it about?

This is a blog to facilitate the exchange of ideas and to harness simple insight in a complex marketplace. It’s a marketing blog with the occassional randomness thrown in.

    Cheers,
    D.

    Here’s the other one!

    Blog: Beezhouse
    URL: http://beezhouse.com

Manifesto: The beezhouse is a collective prism of scattered thoughts, possibilities, ideas, and a global view of the chaos that is life. We want to share all the beautiful nonsense of the world with anyone interested in reading. We want to create communication between strangers and ultimately make worlds collide. We want to foster keen observation by letting our collectiveness wander, experiment, feel, go farther, and wider to ask the questions that takes simple insight to community application.

I found this post quite by accident — whilst I was searching for fellow-Australian bloggers to include in my WordPress bloglist!
    My blog: http://stephentrepreneur.wordpress.com/
Main Topics: Range between photography, entrepreneurialism, web site design (XML, HTML, CSS), and a few random comments about life in Australia.

    Hi Meg,

    Blog: Scott Taylor’s Blog
    URL: http://www.scotttaylorsblog.com

My personal blog mainly focuses on young entrepreneurship and everything to accompany that topic. As a successful young entrepreneur, I think it is vital to show other young Australians and young people worldwide what a great experience being a young entrepreneur is. Throughout my blog I give tips that I have learnt in real life, things such as the basics of setting up a business, how to dress for your first business interview and the likes.

    Regards,
    Scott

    Meg,

Heard of this via the interview Theo did on G’Day World a few weeks back.

I’d like to submit my blog/podcast “The Oz Wine Show” (www.ozwineshow.com). It’s a site about Australian wine with audio and written articles featuring news, reviews and interviews from around the wine world. We’re totally independent and have been online since August 2005.

    Thanks for this opportunity.
